Charles Martin on AJ
Here’s what the deposed champion has had to say on his opponent:
“He’s a great fighter but it was just that his right hand was fast.
“I didn’t see the shot. He had good speed.
And if he were to do it again?
“I’d take it right to him, don’t give him any respect. That’s the only thing I see.”

Tyson's back
Don’t worry fight fans.
Tyson Fury isn’t going anywhere.
One of the most surreal tweets of the daAnthony Joshua was crowned IBF heavyweight champion of the world on an historic night for British boxing.
The 26-year-old became Britain’s second heavyweight champ, alongside Tyson Fury, with a devastating display against American Charles Martin at London’s O2 Arena.
Martin looked out of his depth against Joshua from the first bell and hit the deck early in the second round when he walked on to a thudding right.
And Belgian referee Jean-Pierre van Imschoot stopped the contest shortly after - just 1min 32 secs into the second - when another straight right to the head sent Martin crashing back to the canvas.
Martin wanted the fight to continue but it wouldn’t have lasted much longer if it had.
Joshua turned to the crowd, shrugged at the ease with which he had won, and beamed that infectious smile before turning his thoughts to unifying the division.

Promoter and champion
Well, did you wonder how long until Eddie Hearn got his face in there
“There was nothing done by Charles Martin done to bring out weaknesses.
“The way I fight is completely different to Charles Martin. I don’t stand up in the air and my head is constantly moving. I have feints.
“I’d relish the opportunity to fight Joshua.
“I’ve never had problem with big guys like that. Wladimir Klitschko hit me on the chin and he didn’t put me down. I can’t think of a bigger fight in world boxing.”
We hear Wembley on July 9 is the place to put your money where your mouth is Dave...
